Our Story

Indecon Building Ltd has built a solid reputation in the construction industry since it was first incorporated in April 1979. Specialising initially in modular and system building projects, the company has developed it’s expertise and progressed into a wide range of construction activities, serving both public and private sectors.

Throughout its history, Indecon has demonstrated versatility, tackling projects of varying scales, and has retained the ability to accept small refurbishment projects alongside large-scale design and build ventures.

With accreditations from Constructionline, CHAS, Acclaim and NHBC,  amongst others, Indecon Building Ltd exemplifies industry best practices. These accreditations attest to the company’s extensive experience, technical proficiency, and commitment to delivering exceptional service while maintaining rigorous standards of quality control and health and safety.

Indecon’s portfolio showcases a diverse array of projects, ranging from small works projects valued at £30,000 to more substantial schemes exceeding £6,000,000. This breadth of experience underscores the company’s ability to adapt to the unique requirements of each project, ensuring optimal outcomes for all our clients.

Meet The Team

Managing Director

Nick Hall.
BSc (Hons), MRICS

Nick joined Indecon in 1986. He previously worked in private practice for E.C Harris, John Wooldridge & Partners and Normal Rourke & Partners as a Chartered Quantity Surveyor after graduating from Leeds Polytechnic in 1981 (Quantity Surveying). Nick was appointed to the Board of Directors in October 1992.

Construction Director

Dave Tumbridge
ACIOB

Dave joined the company at its formation in 1979 having previously worked for Secometric, a modular systems contractor based in Wickford. He has seen and actively been involved in the growth and development of the company from its origins in modular buildings to a general contractors experienced in both new build and refurbishment projects. Dave was appointed to the Board of Directors in April 1993.

Contracts Director

Mark Davison.
BSc (Hons), MCIOB, AssocRICS

Mark joined Indecon in 2002, having previously worked for a Property Management Company in London and graduated with a degree in Construction Management from Anglia Ruskin University in 2007. As a Chartered Construction Manager, Mark is a member of the Chartered Institute of Building and an Associate of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors. Mark was appointed to the Board of Directors in July 2013.

Steve Unwin
BSc (Hons), MCIOB

Steve joined Indecon in 2000 and graduated with a degree in Construction Management from Anglia Ruskin University in 2005. A full member of the Chartered Institute of Building, Steve was appointed to the Board of Directors in October 2016.

Director

Ross Fox
BSc (Hons), MCIOB

Ross joined Indecon in 2010 and graduated with a degree in Construction Management from Anglia Ruskin University in 2022. A full member of the Chartered Institute of Building, Ross was appointed to the Board of Directors in April 2024.

Company Secretary

Tim Hall.
BSc (Comb Hons)

After working for an insurance underwriter in London following his graduation from the University of Bradford in 1984, Tim joined Indecon in 1996 and is responsible for the administrative and financial management of the Company. Tim was appointed to the position of Company Secretary in January 2000.
